The cuisine of the Indian subcontinent is a combination of differing subtle tastes and flavours, as are the varieties of climates and peoples with their distinct cultures and traditions within this vast land mass. Though basically based on Curries, there are definite distinctions between regions. For instance, Bangladeshis prefer rich sauced fish dishes served with rice, whereas in South India and Pakistan they prefer more spice meat dishes with breads and chapattis.

Authentic Indian cooking is an art achieved through generations of experiment and studies. Here at Shozna, we bring the best of these to give you an eating experience which will allow you to enjoy all the rich exquisite tastes and flavours of the East. We are proud to present mouth watering dishes to suit every taste and fancy, including Moghul food, the so called mythical "Food of Kings".

Exotically flavoured and often colourful in appearance, spices are at the heart of the rich flavours of Indian Cooking. Believe it or not, they also have many medicinal benefits. During the flu epidemic many GP's were telling patients to go and have a curry!!!

Garlic supports the body's immune system through its natural anti-infection properties. It lowers Cholesterol and is a digestive stimulant.

Turmeric stimulates the secretion of bile. Its anti-inflammatory agents have been accredited to ease stomach pain and act as antioxidants. In Asia, applied in a paste form, it is used to relieve morning sickness in pregnant women.

Cardamom is a natural coolant, it lowers body temperature in extreme heat. Used in therapeutic medicine it is reputed to have a calming effect.

Green Chilli activates the pain sensors in the mouth, which in turn activate the brain to release painkilling endorphins to relieve pain elsewhere in the body.

Coriander aids digestion and is believed to enhance male potency!!

Black Pepper used mostly in homeopathic practices claimed to aid Asthma, Arthritis and flatulence. Its oil is also used in perfumes and aromatherapy products.
